Festive Photo Frenzy_Day 9

We made Christmas biscuits today. 🙂 Lime helped, as you can see. At one point she fell bum-first off the chair. She was ok, it’s a well padded bum ;). The flour on my arm is her doing. ;p
Sadly, we didn’t have any icing sugar or colouring so they stayed as they came out of the oven. This is the recipe I used (I’ve changed it a little):

250g spelt flour
175g PURE margarine
50g unrefined caster sugar
half a pack of backing powder
a few drops of vanilla essence
2 eggs

This should roughly be like the recipe my nan and mum used to use but they’re nothing like their biscuits. *sigh* I can see that the spelt flour and margarine would affect it but they’re actually dry and very margerine-y… any hints and tips welcome 🙂
